From 14-15 February, the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia will host the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship for the very first time since the all-electric series was created. Held on a 3 km shortened version of the Corniche track, rounds three and four of Season 11 promises more action than ever.

Formula E and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) are using this event to launch PIT BOOST: a new feature that offers a 10% energy boost (3.85 kWh) thanks to an ultra-rapid charge (30 seconds at 600kW) that will take place during a compulsory pit stop in the middle of the race. PIT BOOST is one of the big innovations of Season 11 and will be deployed in one of the two races at each double-header (Race 1 at Jeddah). This latest feature will have a significant impact on the strategies of each of the 11 teams on the grid.

As usual, the DS PENSKE squad will be able to rely on the talents of the entire team and its two drivers, Jean-Eric Vergne and Maximilian Günther, to overcome the challenge of this latest addition to Formula E.

The Jeddah races will take place on Friday and Saturday at 17:00 GMT (20:00 local time).

Eugenio Franzetti, DS Performance director:

“After the very encouraging results in Mexico, where our DS E-TENSE FE25 cars showed plenty of performance, we’re delighted to get to Jeddah for the third and fourth rounds! This is a brand-new circuit and we’re normally pretty good when it comes to new venues. We’ll also have the fresh challenge of Pit Boost, which should shake up the strategies and provide plenty of surprises. Whatever happens, I’ve got full confidence in our team and our drivers!”

Key figures since DS Automobiles entered Formula E:

  • 123 races

  • 4 championship titles

  • 16 victories

  • 51 podiums

  • 24 pole positions
