Peugeot wins three prizes at the Automobiles Awards

At the AUTOMOBILES AWARDS digital ceremony held on 7 December 2020 in Paris, the new PEUGEOT 3008 received the "Car of the Year 2020" prize awarded by the public, the PEUGEOT e-Expert received the jury's special prize and the PEUGEOT brand was named "Brand of the Year" by the managing directors of the thirty-nine participating brands.

For its third edition, the Automobiles Awards aim to highlight the most outstanding manufacturers and the most innovative equipment manufacturers of the moment, by awarding a total of around fifty prizes. This year, a jury presided by Arnaud Ducret selected the winners. Only the "Car of the Year 2020" prize is awarded by the public, which designates the most outstanding car of the year, all categories combined.

The ballot, which brought together 245,000 voters, tied the new PEUGEOT 3008 and the Porsche 911 S among the eleven candidates in contention. The new PEUGEOT 3008, unveiled last September, with its new design sets the tone for a new era of modernity with a redesigned front end and new Full LED tail lights. To embody the power of choice, rechargeable hybrid, petrol or diesel engines are proposed to reconcile driving pleasure and efficiency.

The new e-Expert won the special jury prize in the commercial vehicle category. With its 100% electric engine, a perfect example of power of choice, the new e-Expert offers two levels of autonomy offering up to 330 km in the WLTP certification cycle and thus allows unrestricted access to city centres.

The PEUGEOT brand wins the "Brand of the Year" award which is attributed by the vote of the general managers of the participating brands.
