A new design for PEUGEOT tools
At the request of PEUGEOT Outillage, the designers at Peugeot Design Lab have developed a new modern design for the next generation EnergyDrill. Available now the collection of four cordless drills (including two hammer-action drills) range in price from €189.90 to €289.00 (incl. tax). PEUGEOT tools are on sale now at major DIY stores, specialised websites and the PEUGEOT eStore.
Designed by Peugeot Design Lab, the style of the EnergyDrill establishes the new visual identity for Peugeot Outillage’s portable electric tools. Their design highlights the robustness and quality associated with PEUGEOT tools since 1810.
“The design of these new drills was developed to improve their perceived quality, robustness and compactness. Their modern style is inspired by sharp lines and a two-tone colour scheme “coupe-franche“ first used on the GTi range, and also the new PEUGEOT 3008 SUV. With this project, PEUGEOT's Global Brand design studio is building on the history of the Lion brand. Founded in 1810, with the manufacture of saw blades, PEUGEOT has been making power tools since 1935”, explains Cathal Loughnane, manager of Peugeot Design Lab.
With the four cordless EnergyDrills even the most demanding workman can tackle any task. Their range is extended thanks to a selection of batteries ranging from 1.5Ah to 4Ah. The torque range is between 55Nm and 67Nm. Two hammer drill versions come with five high-performance masonry drill bits. The drills are also available with the option of a 13.7L or 27L backpack that opens like a book to store the drill and its accessories. The larger bag has enough space for many other tools including safety boots.
With the new EnergyDrills, PEUGEOT Outillage is expanding its range of portable electric tools. Peugeot Outillage, which headquarters is located near Tours, makes customer safety a primary concern. Each drill comes with a safety kit that includes safety goggles, dust mask, and ear plugs. With the “Collect & Change” Premium guarantee service, the drill can be exchanged within three working days.
