  • The Brand is the leader in the B segment of 100% electric vehicles in all categories (PC+LCV) for the year 2022.
  • 1 out of 4 vehicles sold is a PEUGEOT in this segment.
  • The PEUGEOT e-208 is the best-selling 100% electric vehicle in 2022 in its segment.

The 208 is the overall best-selling vehicle in Europe, all categories, in the PC+LCV market.

PEUGEOT retains the number one position in the passenger car segment with a market share of 17.3% in the first nine months of 2021.
These results are driven by all the vehicles in the range and particularly by the PEUGEOT 208, which remains the best-selling vehicle in France, as well as the PEUGEOT 2008, 3008, 5008 and 508, which have enabled the lion brand to consolidate its leadership position over this period.
PEUGEOT is also the leader in sales to companies in the first nine months of 2021.

In the first half of 2021, PEUGEOT retains first place in the perimeter of private vehicles with a market share of 17.7%. The success of the PEUGEOT 208, which remains the best-selling vehicle in France, accompanies these good results, but this performance is also driven by the other vehicles in the range: the PEUGEOT 2008, PEUGEOT 3008, PEUGEOT 5008 and the PEUGEOT 508 which allow the lion brand to consolidate its leadership position over this period. PEUGEOT is also the leader in sales to individuals and businesses for the total of the first half of 2021.

For the second month in a row, PEUGEOT is the French market leader in the PC+LCV segment and has achieved an excellent performance in the first four months of 2021 with a 19% market share. The success of the PEUGEOT vehicle range continues, with six PEUGEOT vehicles leading their segment, with the PEUGEOT 208 remaining the best-selling vehicle in France. Its electric version continues to be the best-selling electric vehicle in France.

This constant progression is the result of the success of the lion brand's range of vehicles with five PEUGEOT vehicles at the top of their segment and more particularly the brand's bestsellers, the PEUGEOT 2008, 3008 and also the PEUGEOT 208, which remains the best-selling vehicle in France. The electric version of the PEUGEOT 208 continues to be the best-selling electric vehicle in the B segment in France. The brand with the lion is also the leader in sales to individuals and companies.

Over the month and over the whole of 2021, PEUGEOT posted an excellent performance on the PC+LCV market with a market share of 20.1% and for the second month in a row was the number one manufacturer. The lion's share brand is also the leader in sales to individuals and businesses. The excellent results were driven by the success of all the models in the range, with six vehicles leading their segment, particularly the PEUGEOT 2008 and the PEUGEOT 208, which remains the best-selling vehicle in France. The electric version of the PEUGEOT 208 has performed well, being the best-selling electric vehicle in France as of February 2021.

In January 2021, PEUGEOT posted an excellent performance with a 20.2% share of the PC+LCV market, making it the leading manufacturer in the PC+LCV markets. The lion's share brand is also the leader in sales to individuals and businesses. This performance continues to be driven by the success of the PEUGEOT 208 and PEUGEOT 2008, with the PEUGEOT 208 remaining the best-selling vehicle in France. The lion brand's other vehicles have been a definite success with customers, with seven vehicles leading their segment at the start of the year.

PEUGEOT has confirmed its vibrant momentum with: - a growing backlog of orders, - five regions out of six that have increased their market share, - 25 countries beat their record in volume or market share, - its strategic objectives of moving upmarket and electrification upheld. Even if automotive sales activity experienced a drop in the markets, PEUGEOT was able to maintain its performance thanks to robust foundations.

In 2020 as a whole, in the passenger vehicle market, which declined by 25.5%, PEUGEOT had a market share of 18.3%, up 1.2 points compared with the same period in 2019. On the network passenger car market (excluding direct sales) PEUGEOT : is the leader with a market share of 18.1%, is the leader in sales to private individuals with a market share of 15.4%, is the leader in B2B sales with a market share of 26%. These market shares, which have been growing strongly for several years, confirm the success of the Brand's strategy and are accelerating thanks to the excellent performance of recently launched vehicles: - The PEUGEOT 208 is the best-selling car in France, with a market share of 5.6%, - the PEUGEOT 2008 is leader in the B-SUV segment in its first year of sale with a market share of 4%; but these results are also obtained thanks to the other vehicles in the PEUGEOT range, which are leaders in their segment: - The PEUGEOT 3008 with a market share of 2.7%, - The PEUGEOT 308 with a market share of 2.2%, - The PEUGEOT 5008 with a market share of 1.2%, - The PEUGEOT 508, with a market share of 0.6%.

In November 2020, PEUGEOT is the leading manufacturer in the passenger car market, with a 1.9 point gain in market share compared with 2019. This performance continues to be driven by the success of the PEUGEOT 208 and PEUGEOT 2008. In November alone, the PEUGEOT 208 ranked first in passenger car sales and is still the best-selling vehicle in France for the eleven months to 2020. On the passenger car market in 2020, the PEUGEOT brand is the leader in the BtoB channel.

This is the best growth among French manufacturers with an increase of nearly 6.7%, in a market that has fallen by nearly 3%. On the BtoB channel, PEUGEOT is the leader in passenger cars for the first nine months of 2020. These remarkable performances are mainly due to the successful launches of the new Peugeot 208 and Peugeot 2008, which continue to be very well received by customers. Moreover, the Peugeot 208 is the best-selling car in France overall and the success of the electric versions contributes to this excellent performance.

Over the same period in the passenger car market, the brand is also the leader in sales to individuals. On the BtoB channel, PEUGEOT is the leader in PCs for the first eight months of the year. This remarkable performance is mainly due to the successful launches of the new Peugeot 208 and Peugeot 2008, which were very well received by customers. The success of the electric versions continues to contribute to this excellent performance, making the new Peugeot 208 the best-selling car in France.

Other performances, three PEUGEOT vehicles: new 208, new 2008 and 3008 are in the top five best-selling vehicles in France and in the LCV market, Peugeot maintains its second place and gains 1.3 point in market share compared with 2019.

In January 2020, PEUGEOT posted an exceptional performance with a market share of 21.3%, or + 2.4 points compared to the previous year, thus occupying first place among manufacturers on the VP + LCV markets which fell by - 12.7%. The brand is also the leader in sales to individuals. The Peugeot brand begins the year 2020 with an order portfolio high at a level never reached in its history. This performance is due to the success of the launches of the new PEUGEOT 208 and PEUGEOT 2008, which have met with remarkable customer satisfaction. The success of the electric versions also contributed to the excellent performance of January 2020. In the same month, the PEUGEOT 208 was the best-selling car in France and the e-208 represented 26% of the mix. Another performance, on the LCV market, PEUGEOT continued to grow with a gain of 1.3 points in market share, which stood at 19.5%.
