The 208 Rally4 competed and won on all surfaces throughout Europe and Latin America in 2021. In addition to competing successfully in several countries, Peugeot Sport Customer Racing’s best seller has proven popular with drivers from all horizons, from up-and-coming talents to gentleman drivers.

Florent Todeschini, the newly-crowned French Junior Rally Champion, is set to discover the potential of the 208 Rally4 this coming weekend on the tricky roads of the Parc des Cévennes in the Montpellier region, at round six of the 208 Rally Cup France. Hugo Margaillan (U29) and Armand Fumal (Gentlemen Drivers) will be fighting to win the title in their respective categories.

The 208 Rally4 was an instant hit with rally drivers on its competitive bow in 2020, with its sporty design and first class performances enabling them to fight at the front in the two-wheel drive categories. Moreover, the 208 Rally Cup France has provided some very closely-contested racing at all levels, as have the various national Cups organised throughout Europe.

Barely a year since the first car was sold, the 100th Peugeot 208 Rally4 will be delivered to its new owner this week in Peru. Peugeot Sport did not have to wait long to celebrate the sparkling success of its latest ‘best-seller’, as it conquered both the French Gravel Rally Championship and Italy’s two wheel-drive class in 2020. This year, upcoming stars and gentlemen drivers alike will have the opportunity to battle for 2WD glory in no fewer than seven ‘Cups’ throughout Europe and Latin America – while tackling a wide variety of specialist surfaces.

The Peugeot 208 Rally 4 exhibits a strong performance in varied conditions at Rally Monte-Carlo and merits a full Peugeot podium. The accomplishments didn’t stop there as the tricolored brand dominated the RC 4 category with six Peugeot’s in the top 10.

Winning the opening TCR Europe race at Monza, Italy and passing the chequered flag second in the following race, 2019 TCR Europe Championship runner-up Julien Briché secured the Peugeot 308 TCR’s second and third podium finishes of the 2020 campaign this weekend (26/27 September), showcasing the car’s outstanding performance and reliability in a particularly high-calibre field.

In action on stages across Europe since July and having produced several first class performances, the 208 Rally 4 is the new flagship model of the 208 Rally Cup, which is set to kick off next weekend at Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine (3-5 September).

Following the 208 Rally 4’s launch at the beginning of the year, almost 100 firm orders have been placed for the new car and Peugeot Sport has been busy making sure that its customers receive their machines in the speediest timeframe possible. The 208 Rally 4 is poised to make its first competitive appearance this weekend in Portugal, and other outings are scheduled to follow shortly afterwards in Italy and the Czech Republic.
