CITROËN SIGNS AN INTERGALACTIC CAMPAIGN FOR THE NEW Ë-C4

• Citroën's new campaign for the ë-C4 combines emotion and science fiction. It reinvents the story of the friendship between a human and an extraterrestrial. • Directed by Gary Freedman, the campaign will be rolled out across all channels: TV, digital, social networks, posters and press. • The extraterrestrial "Mike" becomes the hero of digital content, continuing his adventures with humour.

Poissy, 30 January 2025 - In its new campaign for the ë-C4, Citroën is returning to its tradition of high spectacle films, combining science fiction and emotion. The campaign, directed by filmmaker Gary Freedman, tells the captivating and unexpected story of the unlikely friendship between a young woman and an extraterrestrial.

In a major motion picture, the human protagonist pulls out all the stops to help her new friend from elsewhere find his spaceship. Thrilling chases involving military helicopters and police cars punctuate their adventure aboard the ë-C4. But just when everything seems to be coming to a happy ending, the alien reveals a real obsession with the ë-C4, choosing the vehicle's revolutionary comforts instead of continuing his galactic journey.

A unique blend of science fiction and emotion
"We wanted to capture the essence of Citroën: offering vehicles that combine innovation, accessibility and joie de vivre," explains Federico Goyret, Citroën Marketing Director. "This campaign explores universal emotions such as confidence and surprise, while highlighting the unrivalled comfort of the Citroën ë-C4."

An ambitious production
To bring this adventure to life, Citroën called on a team of renowned experts to create an original soundtrack combining wonder and suspense and extremely realistic special effects, with particular attention paid to the creation of "Mike".

An exceptional multi-channel roll-out
The campaign kicks off on 2 February in France with a one-minute TV format, before being extended across Europe and Turkey. It is built around a rich digital ecosystem, featuring the extraterrestrial Mike in fun and engaging content, from interactions in Citroën dealerships to wackier adventures on social networks.

 

A tradition of innovative advertising
Citroën is continuing its tradition of bold, original campaigns, such as "La Révolution" for the ë-C3 and "Le Patineur" for light commercial vehicles. Once again, the brand has succeeded in combining humour, spectacular cinematography and captivating storytelling.

With this campaign, Citroën invites all drivers - whether human or extraterrestrial - to discover what could well be the most comfortable journey in the universe.
