Citroën Total Abu Dhabi WRT saw the chance of a podium slip away after a harsh puncture, as its efforts over the weekend went largely unrewarded. The team can nonetheless take satisfaction from having once again challenged right at the front in the C3 WRC and from having shown that the recently-approved upgrades to the rear axle of its car have had the desired effect.

Citroën Total Abu Dhabi WRT used today's final leg in the demanding competitive testing conditions provided by Rally Argentina to keep working on its C3 WRC, whilst also setting some probing times. Kris Meeke and Paul Nagle moved up a place in the standings to finish seventh overall, whilst Khalid Al Qassimi and Chris Patterson concluded their first WRC outing of the season in fourteenth position.

Citroën Total Abu Dhabi WRT's luck escaped them on the second full day of racing: just as they seemed on course to secure another podium finish, Kris Meeke and Paul Nagle picked up a puncture that relegated them to eighth place. Earlier on, Craig Breen and Scott Martin were forced to retire after rolling their C3 WRC, whilst Khalid Al Qassimi and Chris Patterson continued to rack up the miles and ended the day in fourteenth place.

Citroën Total Abu Dhabi WRT combined speed and reliability to make it through one of the hardest legs in the championship. Kris Meeke and Paul Nagle ended the day second overall, once again in contention for a final podium spot. Meanwhile, Craig Breen and Scott Martin lie sixth, more than holding their own on their first proper experience of this unusual event, whilst Khalid Al Qassimi and Chris Patterson completed day one in fifteenth place, thus meeting their target, which was to amass experience with the C3 WRC.

Craig Breen – Scott Martin and Kris Meeke – Paul Nagle set the second and third fastest times in today's shakedown in their C3 WRCs, confirming that they were very much on the pace in Argentina. Meanwhile, Khalid Al Qassimi and Chris Patterson finished with the thirteenth fastest time, making use of this final practice session to get back into swing of things.

The first of an uninterrupted series of four gravel events, Rally Argentina is almost certain to be the championship's most demanding weekend for the cars. Citroën Total Abu Dhabi WRT will be entering three crews in South America, with Kris Meeke – Paul Nagle, Craig Breen – Scott Martin and Khalid Al Qassimi – Chris Patterson, and will also be running a recently homologated upgrade to the C3 WRC's rear axle.
