From Misano to Turin aboard the new Abarth 595 Monster Energy Yamaha special series, with “Trastevere73” at the wheel – two-time “eSport MotoGP” World Champion and the first official eSport rider from the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team, symbolically uniting the capital of Motorcycling with the Scorpion brand’s hometown.

Today, the launch of a teaser video on Abarth’s official social media channels is the first move in the Scorpion's new digital project, featuring the new 595 Monster Energy Yamaha and Lorenzo Daretti, aka “Trastevere73”, two-time “eSport MotoGP” World Champion and, since 2019, the first official eSport rider from the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team.

The announcement comes just days before the presentation to the international press – scheduled for September 18th at 12:00 pm – of the bold new special series, the 595 Monster Energy Yamaha, which celebrates the partnership since 2015 between the two brands, Abarth and Yamaha. The livery and interiors of the new special series draw their inspiration from the YZR-M1 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP 2020, with the “Monster claw” added to the bonnet as a tribute to the new collaboration with the renowned energy drink.

“Trastevere73” will go from his video game console to the wheel of the Abarth 595 Monster Energy Yamaha, on a real-life journey from Misano to Turin, a symbolic bridge between the cradle of motorcycling and the hometown of Abarth motorsport.

None other than Luca Napolitano, Head of EMEA Fiat, Lancia & Abarth Brands will be there – in a video message – to see him off on a journey that combines the real and virtual worlds. Valentino Rossi and Maverick Viñales, two riders from the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team, will also wish him well on his way.

The route taken by “Trastevere73” will be tracked on the Abarth brand’s social media channels, where the community will have access to increasingly engaging content, such as the option to share a video of themselves aboard the new 595 Monster Energy Yamaha together with Trastevere73, using an Instagram filter.

The new digital project aims to further strengthen the bond between Abarth and Yamaha, by getting all Scorpion and motorsport fans involved.

The Abarthisti fandom will take part in a specific question-and-answer session on the special series, to be held on September 25th in Turin – the final destination on the journey, where Luca Napolitano and “Trastevere73” will answer the most interesting questions sent by social media users.
The interview will be posted on the brand's official social media channels.
