Kit Woo Celebrates Malaysian Ingenuity and French Elegance at KLFW 2024 Inspired by the PEUGEOT 408

[Kuala Lumpur, 1 August 2024] Local fashion designer and visionary, Kit Woo, ignited Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2024 (KLFW 2024) with a jaw-dropping show that redefined the boundaries of form and functional fashion. The stage transformed into a canvas for Kit Woo’s avant-garde vision, inspired by the sleek lines and contemporary aesthetics of the PEUGEOT 408, which served as the muse of his collection.

The stage transformed into a canvas for Kit Woo’s avant-garde vision, inspired by the sleek lines and contemporary aesthetics of the PEUGEOT 408, which served as the muse of his collection.

This year, the Kuantan-born designer’s collection for KLFW 2024 revolved around horror movies and video game characters, conveying the idea of beauty derived from the unconventional. His collection titled “Torn” emphasized bold patterns and a mix of textures, while echoing the alluring fluid lines and dynamic shapes of the PEUGEOT 408 to create visually striking pieces as the car itself. His genius for cutting and draping fabric was on full display, and his commitment to sustainability was evident in every piece. The result was a collection that not only captivated the audience but also challenged perceptions of what fashion can be.

Kit Woo, the mastermind of the stunning fashion showcase said, "For KLFW 2024, I wanted to challenge myself even further to create even more unique avant-garde pieces that are thought-provoking and intriguing yet stay true to my design identity that incorporate gender fluidity and dualism.”
